and the sun was shinin'

woke up with an epic hangover. listened to atlas sound and laid on my couch. i desperately wanted to lay there all day, but i couldn't resist the warmth of the sun shining on my face through the window. i slowly got my self together piece by piece and entered a beautiful late winter day in new york city. my bike was so cranky and didn't want to cooperate. soon enough i managed to roll down the street and in to the madness. met up with bobby in soho, and we took the town.

one more time

it's tuesday night. i'm sitting in my apartment waiting for phil to get here. then we are going to go dj a party. i was pretty hungover earlier. i got lunch at the spotted pig with becka, then went to a movie, then went to C-lab to drop off some film, and then went to whole foods. we are listening to the daft punk live album, and it's wild. really like it. it's playing so loud that i keep thinking that the people upstairs are pounding on my ceiling but i think it's just the bass drum or something.lance told me that the video is done and i'm really excited about it. he works at the pace of a turtle, but it's worth it because it looks amazing.

tomorrow night

tomorrow night michael phil and I are guest djing at circus '68 in the lower east side. nicholas from BBLESSING throws this monthly party. it's usually a good excuse to get really fucking wasted and dance to music that no one else is playing these days. we actually played this party a few months ago and it was sikkk. the music is usually a little soul, funk, motown, psych. just good shit to get down to. anyways, we'll be there and you should too. let's just hope the bathrooms don't flood this time

teenage warning

i was listening to the angelic upstarts this morning and it made me feel good.

saturday i woke up late and it was pouring. then the fog came and settled down nice and low. i was thinking about sitting around at home reading some adventures of sherlock holmes.instead, becka and i got dressed and decided to have a day in the rain. went to schiller's for brunch. met up with gio at supreme because he had put aside one of the kermit the frog t-shirts for me. apparently the line went all the way around the block on thursday when it was released.we walked all around soho and kept running in to people we know, and it felt good just walking around in the rain. i had a really good beer at THE ROOM but i forget what it was called. went to mikes later on that night and got el paisa. we hung around all night, and i was trying to get people to drink this cocktail called the "town hall" that i invented, but no one wanted to try it.
